Dr. Kalina Kukielko-Rogozinska’s book dedicated to the work of Rita Leistner – a committed photographer, who portrays the life of communities in extreme conditions, such as armed conflicts – has been published.
As Dr. Kukiełko-Rogozińska writes in introduction, „the use of modern communication tools (such as smartphones or social media) makes Rita Leistner’s photographs, showing the everyday life of the US Marines base in Musa Qala, a passionate attempt to express what Wolfgang Welsch put in one of his essays, as a „real” picture of war.
